The position involves building, developing, and managing a comprehensive safety program that includes the establishment of policies and procedures. The individual will act as the Safety Team Leader, with responsibilities that encompass Critical Controls, LOTOTO/ZES, PIT/PED, and the Emergency Action Plan. Additionally, the role requires the development and management of a quality system, which includes policies and procedures, root cause determination, and corrective action. The candidate will also be responsible for fielding customer complaints while ensuring a positive experience. Experience with food safety systems or programs, as well as PCQI experience, is required. Participation in a HACCP team is essential, preferably with experience in developing and managing a HACCP team and plan. The role also involves training team members on quality awareness as it pertains to specific jobs and customers. A strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is necessary, along with knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA requirements.
