About The Position

Keene State College is seeking a tenure-track faculty member for the Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences Department, starting August 2024. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• For Associate Professor rank: Minimum of 5 years of collegiate teaching experience and 3 years of professional experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
• For Assistant Professor rank: At least 3 years of professional experience in construction safety and a minimum of 1 year of teaching or training experience.
• BCSP CSP or CIH Designation or the ability to receive such a designation within 1 year of hire.
• Proficiency in core construction safety disciplines, including OSHA standards and safety management systems.

Nice To Haves

• Board-certified designations or professional engineer licensure.
• Knowledge in HOP, Safety II, and SIFs, as well as Systems and Behavioral Sciences.
• Ability to communicate in a second language or bring a multicultural perspective.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and potential graduate courses in various formats (classroom, laboratory, online).
• Develop and manage curriculum and laboratory activities.
• Advise students and provide mentorship, particularly to first-generation college students.
• Engage in scholarly activities and maintain professional development.
• Participate in service activities for the program, department, and college.
