About The Position

The Safety and Compliance Specialist at Hyundai Glovis is responsible for managing Environmental, Health, Safety, and Training programs for all employees and associates in Alabama. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, ISO, and Worker's Compensation regulations, while also leading training sessions and conducting safety audits to maintain a safe workplace. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to identify potential safety risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all OSHA, ISO, and Worker's Compensation programs.
  • Responsible for all training related to new hire orientation, equipment certification, OSHA, and EPA.
  • Oversee Health & Safety Training Program and lead training sessions to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all OSHA logs and Worker's Compensation insurance reporting.
  • Monitor Return to Work program to reduce lost time from work-related injuries.
  • Manage post-accident drug and alcohol testing programs.
  • Conduct internal and external safety audits to reinforce safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Regularly inspect facilities to ensure a safe workplace including emergency response systems, fire alarms, and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Ensure district compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations related to hazardous material and waste.
  • Develop and implement Continuous Improvement Program for Environmental, Health, and Safety to ensure safe work practices and reduce work-related accidents and incidents.
  • Investigate and perform Root Cause Analysis for accidents and near-miss incidents.
  • Provide countermeasures to prevent safety-related issues from occurring in all work areas.
  • Enforce facility access security requirements to maintain strict FTZ compliance.
  • Support team member badging process and Visitor Management System.
  • Prepare and distribute reports for internal and external entities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
