About The Position

At Linfox, our commitment to safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee both transport and warehousing operations for our General Merchandise portfolio, supporting five major retail customers across fourteen sites nationally. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and hands-on support to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards. You will partner with operational leaders nationally to embed a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and deliver exceptional outcomes across complex, multi-site environments.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV or Diploma of workplace health and safety
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Road Transport safety and compliance
  • Experience working across a full range of WHS activities in a large complex environment
  • Ability to lead and influence across diverse teams and sites
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Flexibility to travel nationally when required

Responsibilities

  • Lead mentor and drive safety and compliance outcomes across transport and warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility, and WHS legislation.
  • Conduct pulse checks and provide support with preparation and participation with WHS and Chain of Responsibility internal or external audits, ensuring closure of any non-conformances.
  • Develop and implement risk-based safety strategies, embedding health, wellbeing, and psychosocial risk management into operational practices.
  • Establish effective and measurable objectives, targets & KPIs for the business unit.
  • Assist sites in interpreting and implementing Linfox safety and compliance standards and legislative requirements with a view to ensuring national consistency and compliance.
  • Report on safety performance, trends, and outcomes, establishing measurable targets and KPIs aligned with corporate safety systems.
  • Provide expertise with investigating incidents and analysing root cause, developing effective corrective actions, and sharing key learnings
  • Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and promoting proactive safety initiatives across all sites.
