About The Position

As a Safety Analysis intern you will support the Safety Analysis group. You will report to the Safety Analysis Manager and be located at our Etna location. This is a paid full-time hybrid position in the summer.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering required
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Complete Sophomore year of college
• Interest and skills related to thermal hydraulics and heat transfer

Responsibilities

• Use software packages such as Python, Mathcad, Matlab, ANSYS or equivalent
• Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor designs and develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
• Working with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
• Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements
• Evaluate standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications
