About The Position

The Safety Administrator at Lancaster Burns Construction, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Safety Director in managing and implementing the company's safety program. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of office administration experience required.
  • 2 years of safety-related experience preferred.
  • Degree or certification in a safety-related field preferred.
  • Background in construction or a similar industry required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately.
  • Typing speed of 40 wph and advanced knowledge of MS Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support to the Safety Department.
  • Prepare related safety reports for review and participate in the implementation of approved recommendations.
  • Compile reports, track near misses, and distribute weekly safety topics.
  • Assist with updating and distributing safety documents and prepare safety presentation material.
  • Review, check, and code invoices and related documentation, and log weekly safety reports from Safety Coordinators.
  • Schedule training sessions and provide reports on employee training status.
  • File all paperwork for training and record keeping to ensure compliance.
  • Manage new employee hire processes, including safety equipment distribution and file setup.
  • Track and monitor new hire safety equipment distributed to employees.
  • Assist with updating the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and jobsite binders.
  • Work on special projects as requested by the Safety Director, including planning presentations and creating brochures.
  • Type and design general correspondences, memos, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist in coordinating safety meetings, orientations, and audits of safety programs.
  • Coordinate drug and alcohol tests for employees as required.
  • Assist with light duty coordination and track return to duty paperwork.
  • Collaborate with management on training and compliance issues, leading training as required.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations and maintain safety statistics.
  • Coordinate events as required and assist other HR and Safety team members.
  • Compile and complete orientation manuals.
