About The Position

Safety Administrative Assistant Position Purpose: The Safety Administrative Assistant will provide safety support to the Hoffman family of companies. This position will be integral in ensuring the Company’s compliance with customer, regulatory and internal safety requirements. This position will assist with formation and implementation of Company Safety policies and procedures, and oversee applicable Safety websites, as well as recommend, and implement solutions to current Safety Administrative Assistant issues. This position will assist with oversight and review and offer edits for a multitude of documents and communications related to Safety. Help maintain meeting power points, invites, updating/uploading safety documents and PPE inventory. Employment at Will: Nothing herein is intended to create a contract of employment or to guarantee employment for a definite duration.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Arrives for work on time and begins to work immediately.
  • 40 hours a week in office
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.
  • Utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines and to take constructive advantage of idle periods.
  • Effective at building relationships and communicating with managers and co-workers.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly verbally and written.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize work and time.
  • Displays enthusiasm and desire to get the job done promptly and accurately.
  • Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of HSI training platform, to include additions, edits, and assignments.
  • Review and analyze HSI compliance data.
  • Assist with preparation of OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintain Safety tab on the Company intranet.
  • Complete and maintain safety data on customer prequalification sites.
  • Review and analyze safety observations.
  • Send weekly toolbox talks.
  • Update as needed and maintain Company Safety Manual.
  • Update as needed and maintain SDS Manual.
  • Attend safety-related webinars (i.e., Evolution).
  • Attend and contribute to monthly Safety Supervisor meetings.
  • Correspond with Company managers regarding Safety Department needs and compliance requests.
  • Build monthly power points with safety data collected (compliance, safety observations, violation trends and fleet).
  • Provide information to Safety Director when needed for use with safety reports, jobsite requirements, strategic planning, and decision-making.
  • Any other Safety Department projects or tasks assigned by the Safety Director.
