About The Position

The Safe Exchange Monitor at Home of the Innocents plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and respect of all participants in the Safe Exchange Program. This position involves overseeing the secure exchange of children between parents, acting as a neutral and supportive presence to foster a secure environment for families. The role is essential in maintaining professionalism and confidentiality while documenting exchanges accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to effectively interact with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to gain knowledge in the field of domestic violence, with experience in this area being highly preferred.
• Requires extended amounts of standing and walking, with occasional lifting and carrying of young children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the safe exchange of children between family members, ensuring all interactions are conducted with care and professionalism.
• Document exchanges promptly and ensure all information is accurate.
• Protect the privacy of all family information in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
• Commit to working a minimum of 8 hours per month, whether in one 8-hour shift or two 4-hour shifts.
