Your role at BHSN: The Safe Dwelling Coordinator is charged with the primary tasks of coordinating services for clients in all safe dwellings operated by the program, maintaining the facilities, and providing direct services for victims of domestic and sexual violence. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, Approximately 6-8 weeks of on-call coverage per year What’s in it for you? Generous benefits, including personalized health coverage, paid time off, and holiday pay Working within our community, making a real impact, working alongside passionate colleagues Accessible leadership team, coaching for your growth, and ample training opportunities As a rapidly growing organization, there are endless opportunities to grow within the organization Community discounts, loan forgiveness & more What your day might look like: Provide ongoing services to individuals in safe dwellings as deemed appropriate Act as liaison with DSS and community housing agencies Maintain safe dwelling per OCFS and program standards regarding safety, organization, and cleanliness Provide on-going services to victims of domestic and sexual violence including, but not limited to, supportive counseling, transportation, advocacy, safety planning, safe housing, child-care, assistance filing court petitions as well as compensation claims with the Office of Victim Services, and follow-up to clients as deemed appropriate Update, maintain, and complete program records on the schedule set forth by STOP DSV Participate in back-up coverage to volunteers on the hotline during non-business hours Provide outreach to the community and participate in community events Your skills and qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent. Associate Degree in Human Services related field preferred.
