About The Position

Responsible for the planning and implementation of special projects as assigned for the Park Operations division. Manages full life cycle projects including data collection, feasibility analysis, resource coordination and report preparation for automation of strategic business processes. Serves as a business solution analyst assisting key end users in the application of technology to solve business problems. Also manages the Attractions scheduling team in addition to all UEP related redemption operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years: Business/project management experience with a large scale operation, including financial planning and presentational capabilities required.
  • 1-3 Years: Prior supervisory or operational management experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and assists special projects for the Park Operations division as assigned from start through completion. Duties to include performing business gap analysis, requirement evaluations, design and development of project plans, cost estimating and tracking, production of documentation and deliverables, coordination and implementation of applications or solutions.
  • Manages Park Operations capital project development and implementation. Ensures appropriate documentation of project goals, financial/business related needs and project implementation timelines. Coordinates design and installation plans with Planned Work or Universal Creative as necessary. Oversees in-park integration of projects to ensure operational expectations and service standards are met. Reviews ongoing project submissions and provides justification documentation where necessary for executive consideration in the annual planning cycle.
  • Oversees Attractions scheduling team who provides scheduling, payroll and attendance support to department management.
  • Manages vendor contracts for Operations and monitors service/support with vendors as necessary. Provides strategic input to improve business models with vendors and makes recommendations as to program enhancements where possible. Serves as liaison and single point of contact for vendors in the development/maintenance of Operations programs.
  • Manages Universal Express redemption operation on behalf of Attractions Operations. Serves as a key liaison between Attractions, Entrance Operations, Merchandise and Business Development on sales numbers, redemption percentages, team member compliance, etc. Oversees upkeep and maintenance on all redemption devices and equipment. Audits reports on a regular basis and ensures integrity of the system.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
