Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an individual with strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills for the position of Manager of Pricing and Estimating 1 for the Rolling Meadows Campus. This position supports the Aircraft Survivability business unit, and has diverse business needs ranging from government negotiated procurements to direct commercial procurements. We will consider a hybrid work schedule, but this is not open to full time remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years relevant Pricing and/or Business experience or 3 years with a Master's Degree including minimum 2 years of leadership/exposure.
  • Experience using FAR/DFARS and other applicable government regulations.
  • Experience in pricing, contracts, and business management.
  • Experience with U.S. Government, commercial, and international proposals.
  • Experience with validation of estimates, estimating approaches, customer negotiations, and data driven estimating.
  • Experience in leading and developing cross functional teams.
  • U.S. citizen and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other relevant master’s degree.
  • Prior experience managing a team of professionals.
  • Advanced experience Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Current active security clearance.
  • International proposal experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct management of Pricing and Estimating support for two different operating units located in Rolling Meadows IL and one operating unit located in Apopka, FL.
  • Collaborate heavily with capture and proposal teams to develop pricing and win strategies while ensuring compliance and schedule adherence.
  • Facilitate the development, planning and scheduling of proposals in accordance with customer Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Ensure the review of all proposals for current, accurate and complete information.
  • Lead a team of 9 professionals, establishing goals, assessing individual and team performance, and assuring the delivery of timely, quality and accurate product.
  • Advise leadership of pricing requirements/obligations and provide interpretation of Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
  • Allocate workload to staff.
  • Represent the business areas as a prime internal and external contact on programs, major proposals and initiatives within Pricing and Business Management.
  • Interact with personnel and management at all levels concerning matters of significance to the company related to cost proposals.
  • Lead business area Pricing and Estimating department interactions with the Defense Contract Audit Agency and Defense Contract Management Agency.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
