Raytheon's Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. SWCM department is hiring a Software Configuration Management Engineer II, to work as a Software Transfer Agent onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience in debugging/troubleshooting of connectivity issues in complex systems
  • Automation experience shell scripting in Linux, Unix, and Windows
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
  • Strong background in task automation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, PHP, C#, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML)
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities/cultures and cross discipline organizations
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, CloudBees Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Chef, Rundeck

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all teams
  • Automate and streamline transfer procedures and processes
  • Create customized / tailored configurations, workflows, automations, reports, and integrations that meet specific program, customer and/or site requirements
  • Trouble-shoot / repair issues, escalations, and action items
  • Maintain familiarity with program schedule, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
  • Support internal and external customers in a technical capacity throughout the program lifecycle
  • Ensure site baseline and post deploy verifications
  • Perform and lead coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments
  • Work onsite at Schriever SFB site
