About The Position

Do you love synchronizing complex schedules and securing the right materials at the right time? If aligning demand, capacity, and supply is your craft, this role is for you. As the S&OP Master Scheduler and Procurement Lead, you’ll turn forecasts, customer orders, and Kanban signals into an executable plan—and make the buys that keep production moving efficiently and profitably. Your Core Challenges How will you connect strategy to execution? By generating a Master Production Schedule that aligns with the Sales & Operations Plan. How do you protect customer promises? By balancing production and inventory to meet service goals and by rescheduling shop activities to safeguard lead times. Where are the constraints? You’ll publish the Capacity Planning Report/Earned Hours and work with Operations to smooth shop load. What can we promise Sales? Provide accurate lead times based on real capacity and capabilities, and resolve short lead-time conflicts with Sales and Operations Leadership. Is the schedule credible? Perform capacity planning to validate and maintain schedule accuracy and compliance. How does work flow? Coordinate interdepartmental workflows based on orders, priorities, and availability of workers, parts, materials, and equipment. Procurement You’ll Own Purchase raw materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing. Manage Kanban-driven replenishment to keep inventory lean and effective. Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance; resolve delivery, quality, and lead-time issues. Maintain accurate purchasing records that comply with company policies and standards. Collaborate with Operations and Inventory teams to optimize flow and reduce shortages or excess stock.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years scheduling in a contract manufacturing (machining) environment
  • Hands-on purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Access) and ERP; Epicor and/or Autosched preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Team-oriented under pressure; calm and courteous

  • APICS certification preferred
