About The Position

The S&OP Planner plays a crucial role in aligning the sales, manufacturing, and
supply chain functions of a company to ensure that the organization can meet its
sales goals while maintaining optimal inventory levels and operational
efficiency and service levels, and responsible for developing, monitoring, and
adjusting demand and supply forecasts to ensure the efficient operation of the
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

The role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, sales, marketing,
finance, business intelligence, and supply chain teams to create a
consensus-based plan that supports the company’s strategic goals. The S&OP
Supply Planner works closely with the Demand Planning counterpart to ensure that
inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing excess
stock and obsolescence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience
• Familiarity with ERP and advanced planning systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with S&OP processes and tools preferred
• Familiarity with data extraction, analysis, and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supply Planning: Lead the creation and management of supply plans to meet the demand forecast, considering factors such as production capacity, lead times, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Demand and Capacity Balancing: Ensure that production and supply capabilities are balanced with the demand forecast to prevent overproduction or underproduction. Proactively identify capacity gaps and work with production teams to resolve them.
• Process Management: Drive the S&OP process, aligning demand forecasts with supply chain capabilities. Facilitate and participate in regular S&OP meetings to discuss forecasts, potential risks, and supply chain gaps.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Demand Planning, Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of supply and demand plans. Communicate and align supply constraints and solutions with key stakeholders.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze demand data, identify trends, and generate insights. Collaborate with Business Intelligence & Analytics team to provide regular reports to leadership on forecast accuracy and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the demand planning process and tools, striving for greater efficiency and forecast accuracy. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously assess and improve supply planning processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with S&OP Demand Planner and plant Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained based on demand forecasts, balancing product availability and inventory costs.
• Risk Management: Monitor demand patterns and external factors that may impact the forecast, and work with relevant teams to mitigate risks and adjust plans accordingly.
