About The Position

If you are looking for an RVT II position in a busy Cardiology Office, on an as needed basis, this could be your opportunity. Here at St. Peter's Health Partner's, we care for more people in more places. This position is located at 6 Cre Lane, Saratoga Springs, NY. The Vascular Technologist II performs all examination types offered by the practice and is expected to work independently at all assigned locations and shifts. The role includes working as the ultrasound technologist for ablations and other vein procedures.

Requirements

• ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Education, training, and experience in vascular sonography
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and career long learning
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for patient charting, image acquisition, and report generation
• AAS degree required / BS Degree highly preferred
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• RVS accepted - The Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credential Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) credential holds equivalent recognition to the ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform all examination types offered by the practice
• Conduct upper and lower extremity pulse volume recording, including digital PPG evaluation, treadmill exercise testing, Allen testing, and fistula compression studies
• Perform upper and lower extremity venous patency ultrasound
• Conduct upper and lower extremity vein mapping
• Evaluate for venous incompetency (venous reflux) using ultrasound
• Perform upper and lower extremity native arterial ultrasound
• Conduct upper and lower extremity peripheral arterial bypass graft ultrasound
• Perform upper and lower extremity peripheral arterial stent ultrasound
• Conduct hemodialysis access ultrasound
• Perform extracranial cerebrovascular (carotid) ultrasound
• Conduct native aorto-iliac arterial ultrasound
• Perform aortic bypass graft and aortic endograft ultrasound
• Conduct IVC-iliac vein ultrasound
• Perform iliac vein stent ultrasound
• Conduct renal artery ultrasound
• Perform mesenteric artery ultrasound
• Conduct hepatoportal ultrasound
