About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping, and operational support tasks to ensure the RV park, cabins, facilities, and utilities remain safe, clean, and operating efficiently. This position provides direct support to guests and collaborates with all resort departments and contributes to a positive, well-maintained environment. DESCRIPTION Title: RV Park Maintenance Assistant Work Schedule: Seasonal. Full-Time/Non-Exempt. Scheduled 40 hours per week; flexible shifts required (all days of the week and hours, holidays, and special events). Work schedule is contingent and determined by business needs. Reports to: Two Rivers RV Park Grounds Supervisor Location: Two Rivers Resort – Davenport, WA MISSION “Our mission is to develop and engage in businesses that create sustainable economic development & employment opportunities for the Spokane Tribe. Engaging and supporting the local communities and Enterprise staff through business operations and outreach programs.”

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Experience with power equipment, hand tools, and safety equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and facility repair.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot general maintenance problems.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work professionally with guests and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track inventory and support fleet maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable with strong integrity and a solid work ethic.
  • Must follow all safety guidelines and applicable Tribal, Federal, and Washington State laws.
  • Ability to track materials used and request new supplies when needed.
  • Ability to report project activity and completed work to the Supervisor.
  • Physically able to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, climbing, and using tools/equipment.
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and during special events.
  • Able to perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations.
  • Adapts quickly to new tasks and changing priorities.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.

  • Ability to safely drive and operate motor vehicles and maintenance equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of heavy machinery and small engine repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and ensure maintenance needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with guests, coworkers, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Maintain job-related confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on facilities, cabins, appliances, coolers, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Perform minor carpentry tasks, including repairing picnic tables and other small structural items.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as painting, touch-ups, and repairing worn or damaged items.
  • Repair or replace toilets, faucets/spigots, showers, power pedestals, small appliances, and other resort fixtures.
  • Identify maintenance issues that require licensed or specialized technicians (electrical, plumbing, structural) and escalate appropriately.
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and determine proper repair or escalation steps.
  • Maintain all resort signage ensuring signs are current, clean, and not faded.
  • Maintain grounds by removing trash, litter, and debris daily.
  • Remove and properly dispose of waste from all doggie stations throughout the Park.
  • Assist with mowing, landscaping, edging, trimming, and weed abatement.
  • Ensure RV and cabin sites are cleaned, prepared, and ready for guest use.
  • Assist with event setup and tear-down as directed.
  • Support winter operations: snow removal, shoveling walkways, sanding/salting icy areas, and operating plows or blowers as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and tools.
  • Complete inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; report shortages to supervisor.
  • Ensure oil changes and basic upkeep of fleet vehicles are completed on schedule.
  • Assist with heavy machinery and small engine repair (if applicable).
  • Complete and document all maintenance work orders accurately.
  • Report hazards or property damage immediately to the supervisor.
  • Crosstrain and collaborate with RV Park operations and provide support as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
