About The Position

RV Outfitters, a division of Motorhomes of Texas, is growing and in need of Service Technicians. We are looking for individuals with good mechanical ability to learn how to diagnose and repair RV systems and accessories. The technician plays a very important role in our business by providing excellent repair and maintenance services for all types of recreational vehicles. We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to and take pride in their work. We will train the right candidate; you bring enthusiasm, character, drive, and desire to be successful!

Requirements

• Good disposition and excellent attitude
• Dependable, thorough and detail orientated
• Experience with plumbing, woodwork or carpentry, mechanical and electrical work including 12V and 110V a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Applicants should have some of their own tools
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary
• Update system software and confirm functionality
• Perform proactive and emergency repair and maintenance on a variety of electronic audio-visual components
• Install equipment and accessories
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Motorhomes of Texas standards
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clock procedures
• Document work performed on the repair order and document test procedures/results
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day
• Ensure the customer’s RV is returned to them as clean as it was prior to service
• Communicate additional service requests
• Plan work procedures in cooperation with service manager
• Provide labor time estimates to RV service manager
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
