About The Position

This full-time Server Assistant position at Ruth's Chris involves fulfilling daily restaurant operations, including guest service, table service, to-go orders, and side work, while adhering to AHC guest service standards and fostering a teamwork environment.

Requirements

Must be able to work and communicate well with fellow team members
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Up to 8 hours
Must be able to confidently carry a large oval tray with multiple items on the tray up to 50 pounds
Must have good communication skills to interact with guests on a fine dining level
Must have some restaurant experience
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Related experience and/or training preferred
TiPs certification preferred
ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

Set-up/break-down and continual maintenance of line and service stations
Attend pre-shift meeting
Assist servers in keeping area organized; empty trash containers at service stations as needed
Assist servers with food delivery and beverage delivery and refills when necessary
Perform table maintenance support, cleaning and re-setting
Happily assists other employees in their tasks
Perform station opening/closing and sidework duties each shift, and check out with manager
Execute timely and courteous service to guests following strict adherence to Ruth's Chris policies and procedures
Follow the exact Expo/ Runner Sequence of Service procedures as outlined by Ruth's Chris policy at all times
Assure and maintain highest standard of service, sanitation and hospitality
Work in clean, sanitary manner keeping service stations clean during shift and thoroughly cleaned and organized for the next shift
Perform "in-house" janitorial cleaning at close of business or prior to opening as directed by manager (if applicable)
Work closely with store management and other employees to hospitable experience
Be properly dressed in uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout shift
Help train new employees and managers using up-to-date policies, procedures and techniques
Practice and teach safe/sanitary handling of knife safety and any other equipment used
Promote the WELL philosophy
Attend all meetings and seminars as directed by Manager
