Some of the projects you may work on could enhance your skills in one or more of the following areas: 5G Technology, AR/VR and Computer Vision, Python, Java, expert systems software, Database management systems (e.g. SQL), Access management, information assurance, intrusion prevention, Cloud Security infrastructure, policies & standards, cloud vendor assessment, security configuration, Data Administration & Security data classifications, loss prevention, privacy, incident review, Identity & Access Management fraud identification, key management, OAuth, Open ID, Incident Response incident management, triage, Network Security external/internal network security and perimeter security.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at Rutgers University in a Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related majors.
  • Graduation date between December 2027 - June 2029.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Willing and able to relocate.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering major preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
  • Coursework or demonstrated experience in scripting and coding (e.g. Python, Java).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in binary analysis.
  • Knowledge of Network & Security protocols (e.g. TCP/IP).
  • Knowledge of Threat Management and Incident Response (e.g. Splunk).
  • Knowledge of fraud identification, key management, OAuth, OpenID.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, policies, & standards, security configurations.
  • Understanding of penetration testing.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects related to 5G Technology, AR/VR, and Computer Vision.
  • Enhance skills in Python, Java, and expert systems software.
  • Manage database systems (e.g. SQL).
  • Engage in access management and information assurance.
  • Contribute to cloud security infrastructure and policies.
  • Assist in data administration and security classifications.
  • Participate in incident response and network security.
