This internship position - which is part of the Verizon Campus Program - will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You'll be doing hands-on projects to support employee engagement and employee relations through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Human Resources Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program, and could be the pathway to future development program opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program at Rutgers University in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related major.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Basking Ridge, NJ.
  • Ability to participate in a hybrid 10-week internship from June 2026 to August 2026 working a full-time schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship in human resources and/or demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
  • Coursework or previous internship experience in data analytics, organizational design, human resources management, leadership and change management.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to understand multiple perspectives and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with others to resolve difficult conflicts.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
