About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Rural Carrier Associate to join our team at the United States Postal Service. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural areas using a variety of vehicles and equipment. This position is part-time and offers a competitive pay starting from $20.38 per hour. As a Rural Carrier Associate, you will be expected to operate vehicles such as box trucks and tractor-trailers safely while adhering to delivery schedules and traffic laws. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our clients in rural communities. Your duties will include loading and unloading mail and packages using pallet jacks and other equipment as needed. You will follow assigned routes and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with customers. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential, especially when addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during your shifts. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicles you operate. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently and have a strong commitment to customer service. The role requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and while previous experience in route driving is preferred, it is not mandatory.
