About The Position
Rainmaker is seeking a dependable and hardworking Runner to support logistics and vehicle development operations. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position based in El Segundo, California. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys being on the move and takes pride in getting things done. The Runner will spend significant time driving company vehicles for local, regional, and occasional interstate trips transporting equipment, components, and vehicles. When not driving, the role supports hands-on shop and vehicle work, assisting the engineering and operations teams with assembly, preparation, and general technical tasks. We are looking for someone reliable, mechanically capable, and willing to work hard in a dynamic startup environment where the dayâs priorities can change quickly and the work directly supports real-world operations.
Requirements
- Valid driverâs license with clean driving record required.
- Ability to travel regionally and interstate as needed.
- Experience driving vans, trucks, or commercial vehicles preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools and shop equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or technical environments is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and self motivated.
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving vans, trucks, or commercial vehicles preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or technical environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate company owned vehicles for local, regional, and interstate deliveries.
- Transport equipment, parts, and vehicle systems safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams on delivery timelines.
- Support installation of mechanical, structural, and electrical components.
- Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Support general shop and operational needs as required.
