About The Position

The Rubber Mold Operator is responsible for operating various machines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained while managing equipment and supplies at the Kimball, TN plant. This role involves cross-training in different departments and requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 or more years operating applicable machinery in a manufacturing and production environment.
• General math skills with the ability to understand measuring concepts and their applications.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing type environment.

Nice To Haves

• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and assembly instructions.
• Experience performing quality control checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate mills, lathes, rubber, paint, blast, laser, and brake press machines.
• Load or feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing machine operation processes and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
• Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements and follow manufacturer's instructions for equipment maintenance.
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work shifts.
• Complete production and quality logs as directed.
• Cross-train and work in other departments as needed.
