About The Position
Vector Technical, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Rubber Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing partner in Aurora, OH, a leader in engineered polymer solutions. This position is temp-to-hire, offering a competitive pay rate of $21 to $33 per hour, depending on skills and experience. The Rubber Extrusion Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion machines to produce products that meet specific requirements and properties. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and consistency in output. The operator will perform preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Accurate production records must be maintained, and the operator will be expected to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process. This position involves working on the 2nd or 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. In addition to operating machinery, the Rubber Extrusion Operator will be involved in continuous improvement activities and will assist in training other team members. The operator will also be responsible for inspecting the quality of equipment before production begins and continuously checking the quality of the line using required quality control equipment such as calipers and rulers. This role is crucial in ensuring that all materials meet customer requirements and that all production processes adhere to safety and quality standards.
