The RTA Shift Supervisor position is designed to provide direct care services but with added authority in the absence of the managers. The RTA Shift Supervisor also ensures that the direct care staff adheres to individualized plans for each resident and is also an ITM expert within the team to model and support the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM). The RTA Shift Supervisor shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the ITM supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Shift Supervisor is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Shift Supervisor is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.
