About The Position

The position involves conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections of structures, pipelines, and other components using Conventional RT and Computed Radiography (CR). The candidate must be interested in pursuing CR/DR Certifications with company-provided training and testing. A Level II certification in UTT, MT, and PT is also required. The role includes various essential functions such as performing NDT inspections in accordance with applicable codes and standards, operating testing equipment, identifying defects, and maintaining documentation. Additionally, the position requires driving company vehicles and ensuring the safety of the team.

Requirements

  • Expertise in multiple NDT methods and willingness to engage in ongoing learning and application of skills.
  • Intermediate mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work long periods, up to 16-hour days.
  • Ability to respond to call-outs on short notice and travel for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and arrive punctually to assignments.
  • Ability to adjust actions in relation to others’ actions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Vision clarity for close range and distance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct non-destructive (NDT) testing of components and materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, equipment utilization, specifications, and procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate NDT method to perform NDT inspections, including RT, CR/DR, UTT, MT, and PT.
  • Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials.
  • Identify defects in materials using appropriate testing technique.
  • Complete documentation and work orders thoroughly following established protocols and meeting required timeframes.
  • Drive Company vehicles and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Provide instruction to assigned assistants and ensure the safety of the entire team.
  • Perform general cleaning and minor maintenance duties to maintain company vehicles and inspect equipment.
  • Perform duties as assigned.
