About The Position
The Apprentice Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician at TEAM Industrial Services Inc. plays a crucial role in assisting certified Technicians or Senior Technicians in performing inspections using various NDT techniques. This position is essential for identifying corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. The Apprentice will have the opportunity to calibrate instruments and perform other duties under the supervision of experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in the field of nondestructive testing. In this role, the Apprentice NDT Technician is expected to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards and legal regulations. The technician will alert others regarding potential hazards or concerns, ensuring that safety is a top priority. The Apprentice will assist in NDT inspections, study to gain NDT certifications, and perform any duties assigned by the Technician or Senior Technician on the worksite. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within the NDT field while contributing to the safety and integrity of various industrial operations. The work environment for this position is dynamic, requiring both indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere. The Apprentice will interact with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel, and may be required to travel to multiple job sites in a day. The role demands the ability to work in areas with extreme noise levels and to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. The Apprentice NDT Technician will also need to handle chemicals safely and follow instructions diligently, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
