About The Position

The Chassis Prep Supervisor will manage the workflow, output of the department, and schedule of the department. They will continuously improve production processes and team members’ development. The Supervisor will update the production manager and other department heads of your department’s progress on the given projects and exchange parts as needed. Also, they will write performance reviews and work with HR to address worker related issues as they occur.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 5+ years of experience within a Rosenbauer build team required.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude required.
  • Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
  • Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to work within or learn how to work within programs like Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Drive Works, Sigma NEST.
  • Able to work professionally with all levels of the Rosenbauer organization, customers, and vendors.
  • Able to lead and supervisor a team effectively.
  • Able to maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
  • Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
  • Able to identify quality issues and recognize changes within the production process and make adjustments.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of hands-on fire truck product knowledge from either a manufacturing or fire department perspective preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the workflow, output of the department, and schedule of the department.
  • Continuously improves production processes and team member’s development.
  • Updates the production manager and other department heads of your departments progress on given project and exchange parts as needed.
  • Write performance reviews and work with HR to address worker related issues as they occur.
  • Inspects reviews of trucks to confirm each truck meets its specs and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of tools and parts, creating POs as necessary and keeping the department running smoothly.
  • Keeps everyone safe by enforcing all employees to follow strict safety guidelines and have a clean work environment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
