RSA is looking for a Principal SaaS Operations Engineer who will work cross-functionally to help design, implement and operationalize RSA’s Cloud Identity platforms and products (RSA ID Plus, SecurID, Governance & Lifecycle). The Principal SaaS Operations Engineer in the Global SAAS Operations group will demonstrate technical depth, strong interpersonal skills and passion to solve RSA’s business problems. You will use cloud services to help our engineering teams rapidly deliver RSA’s products and services, as well as provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications. This position would require you to demonstrate high-level knowledge of, and provide operations expertise on, exceptionally complex problems such as: new cloud initiatives, architecture/design, documentation, and implementation. You must be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other teams within RSA, such as engineering, business operations, support, professional services and with executive leadership. You are intellectually curious and enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed while developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions in your work. You will be dynamic and creative, willing to take on any challenge and eager to make a big impact.

  • Working with Engineering to design automation of procedures, deployment, controls and Security
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks that improve reliability, consistency, and repeatability across SaaS and FedRAMP environments (e.g., build/deploy pipelines, compliance checks, monitoring automation)
  • Integrate technologies, processes, tools, and methodologies to mature SaaS Operations services (procedures, application management tools, monitoring and more)
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Finance to monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, implement cost-saving measures, and support FinOps practices across environments
  • Improve and implement proactive monitoring, develop scripts for ad hoc monitoring, create technical reports about monitoring activities and use analytics tools for advanced proactive monitoring capabilities
  • Develop, implement, document, and execute standard operation procedures
  • Create and protect Production Secret keys, restrict access to sensitive customer data
  • Provide application support for multiple mission-critical applications in SaaS and cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, instance, and/or system issues and be able to arrive at RCA write-ups
  • Take part in SaaS Operations technical activities related to supporting, deploying, auditing and adopting new products and services
  • Provide technical expertise and advocacy around how solutions should be implemented in production from SaaS Operations POV
  • Demonstrate ability to work on several concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders executing in a matrix environment
  • Communicate deployment and production related activities internally and externally when appropriate (especially during disaster recovery times)
  • Participate in an on-call rotations to provide coverage during off business hours
  • Coordinate closely on various activities with internal teams and external service providers
  • At least 10 years of experience in enterprise application support in a hosted and / or cloud environment
  • At least 10 years of UNIX / Linux hands-on experience
  • Comfort with DevOps and automation mindsets and the tools required (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, AWS Lambda, etc.)
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing and supporting cloud solutions (Azure/AWS preferred)
  • Experience with deploying and configuring both host and cloud-based monitoring tools (Zabbix, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
  • Experience in operating in multiple cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Programming and scripting experience in one or more languages such (Python, bash, PowerShell)
  • Linux and Windows system administration (SUSE, CentOS, RHEL, Windows Server)
  • Knowledge in managing or deploying common services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, SSH
  • Experience in designing and supporting networking configurations such as routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPN connections and proxies within or between multiple cloud providers
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL and caching systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, CosmosDB and Redis
  • Working knowledge of cloud incident management platforms such as PagerDuty, Pingdom, and Statuspage
  • Experience with applying DISA STIGs / DoD SRGs for system hardening
  • Implementation experience with SAML, Federation and other identity management technologies
  • Good understanding of industry recognized security concepts and an understanding of the Security Development Lifecycle
  • Experience with Reporting and Analytics tools such as Elasticsearch/Logstash, Kibana, Azure Log Analytics and AWS OpenSearch
  • Experience in working within FedRAMP or DoD IL2-IL5 environments along with a base understanding of the NSIT 800-53 control family
  • Experience in working in regulated environments such as SOC and PCI
