About The Position
The position involves performing product deliveries along assigned routes and other related duties to guarantee customer satisfaction. The driver is responsible for inspecting vehicle equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and requesting service and repairs as needed. The role requires assembling orders for timely delivery to customer businesses, ensuring accurate delivery windows for each route stop, and placing delivered products in various assigned storage locations according to customer requests. Maintaining accuracy of delivered products with no damage due to mishandling is crucial. The driver must communicate problems to the Transportation Supervisor immediately and read maps while following written and verbal geographic directions. Managing multiple assignments and tasks efficiently, following BEK transportation policies and procedures, and complying with traffic laws and safety regulations are essential aspects of the job. The driver must also complete administrative tasks and related paperwork to ensure the efficiency of transportation operations, review customer invoices, report mechanical problems or delays, and maintain records in accordance with BEK policies.
