The RS SC Supervisor for Weekend Nights at GAC Savannah is responsible for assisting the Service Team Managers and Team Leads in planning, coordinating, and supervising activities performed on Service Center aircraft. The role involves providing direction to customers and Gulfstream personnel to ensure timely and efficient aircraft maintenance repairs while adhering to customer requirements and FAA regulations. The position requires working on weekends and may involve assignments to various service center hangars based on experience and business needs.

  • Assist the Service Team Manager with planning, scheduling, organizing, coordinating, and supervising maintenance work and labor hours to meet the Service Center master schedule.
  • Coordinate with support departments to ensure that materials and equipment are available for the department.
  • Provide status reports and progress schedules to the manager.
  • Facilitate a continuous safety/security program including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 5S, general housekeeping, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure regular established safety/security audits are conducted and discrepancies are addressed.
  • Instruct assigned subordinates in the efficient and effective use of company resources, work methods, and procedures to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
  • Administer corporate and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and/or Service Team Manager in determining manpower and equipment needed to meet the Service Center master schedule.
  • Establish and distribute production schedules consistent with customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion and coordination of maintenance projects in compliance with FAA specifications.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASCs), Customer Bulletins (CBs), inspection schedule requirements, and vendor information.
  • Associate's Degree in aviation maintenance or related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 6 years aviation maintenance experience, including in-service maintenance experience on large or mid-size cabin aircraft.
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and high degree of integrity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Experience in troubleshooting aircraft systems.
  • Familiarity with Gulfstream aircraft maintenance and servicing procedures.
