About The Position
SIGN ON BONUS OF UP TO $10,000 AVAILABLE Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level required.
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments
- general and critical care respiratory care procedures
- respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
- blood gas analysis and interpretation
- maintenance and management of equipment
- patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.
