About The Position

We are seeking an experienced RRT – ECMO Specialist for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity adult critical care setting. Candidates must have hands-on ECMO machine experience and demonstrate advanced respiratory care skills in ICU environments. Shift & Scheduling Details 3x12 Night Shifts (1830–0700) Occasional rotation to days (0630–1900) as needed Every other weekend required On-call required as needed Floating within scope required Block scheduling: Discuss with manager Locals not accepted (must reside more than 100 miles from facility) Pending license accepted (must be active at start)

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
  • Minimum 1 year ECMO Specialist experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted (must meet ECMO requirement)
  • Adult Critical Care experience required
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • Active State Respiratory License
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS

  • Care of patients with ARDS, COVID, Pneumonia, Aspiration
  • Bronchoscopy support
  • Fresh tracheostomy management
  • Airway Management
  • Endotracheal tube management & suctioning
  • Intubation assist & extubation
  • Nasal and oral airway placement
  • Tracheostomy care & suctioning
  • Pulmonary hygiene & sputum specimen collection
  • Ventilator Management
  • BiPAP / CPAP
  • SIMV
  • Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
  • Mechanical ventilation weaning
  • Patient transport (inter-departmental & ambulance)
  • Oxygen & Nebulizer Therapy
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
  • Bag & mask ventilation
  • ET Tube oxygen delivery
  • Aerosol setup (mask & trach)
  • Nebulizer types: cold, heated, ultrasonic, handheld, T-piece, trach collar
  • Medication Administration
  • Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent
  • Flovent, Pulmicort, Spiriva
  • Mucomyst, Tobramycin, Xopenex
  • Inhaled Flolan
  • Nitric Oxide (INo)
  • Racemic epinephrine
  • ABG interpretation & arterial puncture
  • Drawing arterial blood gases
  • Chest physiotherapy (vest & manual CPT)
