The RPA Munitions Technician I position is part of the Deployment Pool at Amentum, requiring support for deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations. The role involves handling munitions, including assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of aircraft armament systems. Technicians will perform inspections, modifications, and ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards while providing technical inputs to management regarding weapons management and inventory.

  • Assemble, disassemble, renovate, transport, load, deactivate, modify, destroy, and handle munitions including missiles and bombs.
  • Perform installation, configuration changes, modification, repair, and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components.
  • Conduct maintenance modifications, destruction, and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components.
  • Operate computer hardware and software utilities for stock control and accounting procedures.
  • Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction.
  • Manage inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment.
  • Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs.
  • Attend weapons safety courses and load certification activities.
  • Provide technical inputs to management regarding weapons management, inventory, and maintenance.
  • Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to meet customer requirements.
  • High School diploma or GED, or relevant military/vocational technical school curriculum.
  • Minimum of one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience.
  • Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
  • Must achieve passing grades in required courses/certifications for continued employment.
  • Meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
  • Fluency in English (speak, read, write, understand).
  • Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months.
  • Current/active State Issued Driver's License.
  • Valid U.S. Passport with at least two years remaining and blank Visa pages.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster.
  • Associate degree in a relevant career field.
  • RPA Deployment Experience.
  • Prior Experience as a Defense Contractor.
  • Munitions/Weapons experience within the last 10 years.
