About The Position

Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. PURPOSE OF POSITION : A Bartender is responsible for interact ing with guests and ensur ing they have an exceptional experience when dining at Deer Valley.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience preferred
- Possess a S.M.A.R.T. Card certification and Utah Food Handlers certification
- Able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and take beverage orders
- Prepare alcoholic drinks and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control laws
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
- Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed
- Prepare purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beverage products, menus , and promotions
- Other duties as assigned
