About the position
If you have experience as a competitive rowing coach, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) would like to you to join us as a Rowing Supervisor with our partners at Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR). Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR), serves Seattle by offering access to recreation programming for people of all ages and skill-levels. The Rowing Supervisor at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center performs a range of duties, including managing the day-to-day activities related to the rowing program and instructing participants.
Responsibilities
- Manage database to track participation, use of rowing programs, registrations, participation through ActiveNet and iCrew or similar attendance tracking systems.
- Develop a team coaching strategy and work with other coaches for all programs based on the needs and athletic goals of the participants within the context of the program's coaching philosophy.
- Promote safe, rewarding programs that cover broad skill and age ranges.
Requirements
- Minimum three years competitive rowing coaching experience.
- Experience planning travel logistics for large groups.
- Rigging experience.
- Trailer driving experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
- Experience leading a team of people.
