About The Position

The REMM Group is currently seeking a Floating Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support three beautiful communities in Culver City and the Central Los Angeles area (La Brea), CA . The Multifamily Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall condition and repair of the asset. This position includes managing the day-to-day operations of a property from repairs, make-ready processes, Capital projects, and preventative maintenance. There is no housing included with this position. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM -5 PM. Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in multifamily property maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • High school diploma and some college/trade school preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, working with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate an on-call schedule.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High Sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Candidate must be able to work in an environment in which demands and priorities change rapidly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi property management software (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Ensures completion of all apartment turnovers.
  • Assist with minor construction projects and renovations.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally, diagnosing and resolving issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs, and document repairs made in Yardi Voyager software.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential problems before they occur.
  • Maintain the Cleanliness and Curb appeal of the property, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and emergency problems if needed.
  • Communicate with the Business Manager to ensure work is complete and costs are in line with the budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed to obtain necessary parts and materials.
  • Communicate with excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents and staff.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and emergency issues, including being on-call after hours.
  • Strategically plan how to turn units with your team.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Keeps storage facilities and equipment organized and in working condition.
