About The Position

Synergy, a leading Boston commercial real estate firm, is seeking multiple Roving HVAC Technicians, Electricians and Apprentices to perform maintenance and repairs throughout a portfolio of buildings. This individual will be a key member of our maintenance staff performing hands on work and maintenance duties for a portfolio of urban based office buildings and provide mechanical expertise to a wide staff of building personal. This position will be provided with a vehicle to travel between sites and reports directly to the MEP Lead. Requirements

• Highschool graduate or equivalent required; technical training or trade school preferred.
• 3+ Years experience in Electrical, HVACR or related field.
• Mass Refrigeration, Electrical or Plumbing License a plus but not required.
• Self-Motivated, Hardworking individuals not afraid of a challenge.
• Ability to think beyond routine repairs, rather focusing on long term sustainable solutions being the priority.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the portfolio of buildings to perform maintenance and service on building equipment on specified Synergy buildings throughout Boston.
• Assist stationery building engineers in troubleshooting and repairs of building’s HVAC equipment, scheduling and performing preventive maintenance, and provide recommendations on building and equipment upgrades.
• Perform critical service on buildings HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate the overall quality of the work team and demonstrate an understanding of quality standards.
• Foster a collaborative work environment by leading in problem-solving within the team and across functional areas.
• Develop weekly work schedules to ensure time is efficiently and accurately billed out.
• Develop a full understanding of critical building systems and how to operate them.
• Work with team to perform hands on upgrades to building equipment, equipment replacements, repairs, and emergency service.
• Off hours work at times is required to avoid disruptions to day-to-day tenant operations.
