About The Position

As a Route Settlement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of our route operations. By managing settlements for both Company-owned and Independent DSD Partner (IDP) routes, you'll help safeguard millions in weekly payments, support field teams, and proactively resolve discrepancies-making a direct impact on our operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance OR minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling high-volume financial transactions (e.g., $11M+ weekly)
  • Proficiency in tools like PowerBI and Service Now

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in route settlement or DSD operations
  • Familiarity with consignment inventory processes
  • Prior collaboration with cross-functional teams in a finance or operations setting
  • Process improvement or automation experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly settlement tasks for Company-owned and IDP routes to ensure accurate reporting
  • Provide IDP settlement support and resolve requests via Service Now
  • Conduct in-depth audits to address exceptions, legal concerns, or potential theft
  • Manage manual check processing when necessary
  • Develop and refine exception reporting using PowerBI
  • Collaborate with Route Finance Associate on consignment reviews and IR blocking
  • Partner with IDP Collections to reduce bad debt
  • Support inventory reconciliation, stales, and redistribution efforts
  • Communicate directly with IDPs, including onboarding calls and issue resolution
  • Analyze invoicing and payment activity to reconcile account status
  • Interface with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve billing issues
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for greater efficiency
  • Provide route-specific insights to RAM Supervisor/Manager
  • Cover responsibilities for other associates during absences
  • Respond to customer service requests and manage Service Now tickets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
