About The Position

The position involves safely operating a company step van in a designated area to provide products and services to a variety of clients. The individual will be responsible for verifying daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintaining proper operator documentation. They will manage their daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products, load and unload products per company policies, and review invoices daily for completeness and accuracy. The role also includes meeting sales goals, promoting overall route growth to enhance profitability, developing leads and prospects, and assisting the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business. The individual must possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and communicate these clearly to customers. Monitoring customer feedback and handling customer issues promptly and courteously is also essential. The position requires taking responsibility for personal safety and adhering to all safe work practices and policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
  • Customer service experience with a wide variety of consistent customer contact.
  • Strong math and basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify/solve customer concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
  • Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
  • Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
  • Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
  • Develop leads/prospects and call on prospective customers to solicit business.
  • Prepare service agreements and install new accounts.
  • Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
  • Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and communicate these to customers.
  • Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Take responsibility for personal safety and watch out for the safety of others.
  • Use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
