About The Position

To initiate interest with the dairy producer in the services and products sold by Fisher & Thompson through demonstration, answering questions, and giving advice to dairymen on the qualities and benefits of the products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years prior business or sales experience preferred.
  • Previous work experience within an agricultural setting preferred.
  • Experience with data entry and record keeping.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and can safely operate a motor vehicle within DMV and DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with Fisher & Thompson’s products and services to better explain what we offer to the dairy producers.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales literature for the producers.
  • Present and sell company services and products to current and prospective dairymen.
  • Continually seek out new opportunities with dairy producers within established regions.
  • Follow up on referrals and new leads resulting from completed cold calls.
  • Meet sales goals and objectives assigned by Route Sales Manager.
  • Prepare schedules and action plans to identify targets, and list the dairymen contact numbers.
  • Build positive rapport and relationships with our customer base.
  • Observe all bio-secure measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest procedures for producing/selling high quality milk.
  • Observe/check milking equipment for cleanliness.
  • Handle the customer base as well as identifying and resolving their concerns.
  • Coordinate with company staff to achieve the work required in closing the sale (teamwork).
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a professional image.
  • Other duties as assigned.
