About The Position

The Route Sales Representative at Alsco Uniforms is responsible for meeting customer needs through effective up-selling and cross-selling while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Valid driver's license, CDL when applicable.
• Driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, or safety violations.
• Minimum one year of verifiable safe driving experience.
• Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions, with good time management skills.
• Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of products and perform basic arithmetic.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the uniform and linen rental industry.
• Familiarity with industrial laundry operations.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new customers and up-sell/cross-sell all lines of service or product.
• Actively participate in promotions, contests, training, and audits.
• Follow company policies regarding installation of new customers and managing customer needs.
• Ensure customer loyalty and retention by providing outstanding customer service.
• Build relationships and communicate openly with customers to manage their needs and resolve concerns.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle, following all applicable laws and company policies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular inspections.
• Handle and process customer payments and keep route paperwork current.
• Ensure timely and correct deliveries of complete textile loads and pick up soiled textiles.
• Monitor and report competitive activity and keep service agreements current.
