About the position

The position involves delivering a full variety of cryogenic and gaseous cylinders to customers. Responsibilities include replenishing empty customer tanks of all sizes, which may be located indoors or outdoors, and following approved procedures for safe handling and delivery of products. The role requires operating a motor vehicle to transport hazardous materials and equipment safely, driving carefully, and obeying all traffic laws. Additionally, the position involves handling emergency situations professionally and in accordance with appropriate protocol. The employee will manage the customer's inventory of industrial gases and consumables to avoid outages, working with customers to service and restock inventory in a professional and timely manner. Resolving customer issues regarding products or equipment malfunctions is also a key responsibility, ensuring that customers receive the best service possible. This includes completing pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, maintaining accurate sales and delivery paperwork, and documenting incidents to communicate concerns to the appropriate staff for investigation. The role also involves generating new and repeat sales by making recommendations to prospects and clients based on their needs. Providing timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin is crucial. The employee will need to determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend appropriate solutions, proactively suggesting services to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability. Additionally, the employee will provide hot shot deliveries and customer service in the branch 2-3 days per week, which includes delivering both gas cylinders and welding hard goods, serving as a backup for customer service phone calls and walk-in customers, and assisting retail customers with products, orders, and loading of vehicles.
