Ale-8-One Bottling Company is seeking qualified candidates for a full time Route Sales Relief Driver with a valid KY Class B CDL and a safe driving record. This individual will sell to customers in our market, providing customers with reliable and efficient delivery of Ale-8-One products through sales, merchandising, servicing, and the successful completion of related duties of the Route Sales System. This is a full time, outside-sales non-exempt position with competitive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance and company paid long term and short term disability insurance. The primary responsibility of this position is to build strong account relationships, gaining shelf and cooler space, and selling in displays, secondary displays and promotional opportunities in order to meet the targeted goals. This individual will be self-motivated, have the ability to be trained and developed into a strong sales person, consistently meeting and exceeding expectations on quarterly sales incentives, targets and goals. We are seeking a positive, safety oriented, team player who can remain productive with very little direct oversight in the field.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle
  • Valid Class B CDL and safe driving record
  • HS Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work weekday holidays when required
  • Strong communication skills a must
  • Ability to operate a handheld computer device
  • Ability to perform frequent and some continuous standing, walking, and driving along with frequent and some continuous bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, overhead reaching, lifting, carrying and handling heavy weight as well as periodic lifting of 50 lbs. and pushing / pulling full pallets of heavy product
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and comply with PPE requirements
  • This is a highly physical position and requires working in outdoor elements

Responsibilities

  • Sell and manage the display of Ale-8-One product within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the store managers and employees at each account.
  • Ensure the proper level of service by merchandising and meeting our customers sales and service expectations.
  • Present sales promotions to assigned customer base, sell and write appropriate orders.
  • Sell in incremental displays and equipment.
  • Sell in seasonal/holiday display programs and ensure dealer compliance.
  • Maintain proper Point of Sale, pricing, and marketing standards at all times.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays in order to increase and achieve sales goals.
  • Be a leader and maintain strong teamwork with the merchandisers and account manager that work in the assigned territory.

  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle with a valid Class B CDL.
