About The Position
The Route Planning Manager at Swire Coca-Cola is a pivotal role responsible for the execution and optimization of delivery planning functions in alignment with the organizational strategy. This position is crucial for delivering positive business results through the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) planning team and requires collaboration with various functions including route planning, business processes, IT, and other bottlers. The manager will advance the core capabilities of the planning function and develop high-performing teams by leveraging technology and insights from field operation teams. This role demands critical thinking, deep analysis, and the ability to provide actionable recommendations aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness. In this role, the Route Planning Manager will lead route planning teams and partner with operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The focus will be on maximizing productivity, minimizing operating costs, and ensuring the consistent execution of both tactical and strategic plans. The manager will be accountable for effective internal and external change management throughout project implementations and strategy changes to meet the evolving needs of customers and the organization. Additionally, the manager will enable teams to analyze and interpret data, clearly communicate findings to cross-functional partners, and support organizational goals. The Route Planning Manager will also be responsible for the development of direct reports and successors, sharing subject matter expertise, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the dispatch training team. Strong communication skills are essential, as the manager must effectively convey complex ideas into clear messages that influence decisions at the leadership level.
