About The Position

As a Route Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional breakroom experiences to our clients. You will lead and support a team of Route Merchandisers, ensuring routes run efficiently, service standards are met, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. This is a hands-on leadership role. It is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, developing people, solving problems in real time, and building strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience in a route-based, field service, or logistics environment
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable
  • Strong communication skills with both employees and customers
  • Comfortable using technology and reporting tools. Microsoft Office experience is preferred
  • Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Willingness to drive a 16-20' box truck
  • Ability to lift and push 50 or more pounds
  • Comfortable with frequent movement, including bending, reaching, and operating a hand truck
  • Full-time, onsite role. Remote work is not available for this position
  • Typical hours fall between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Schedule may vary based on business needs, with occasional weekend coverage

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support Route Merchandisers to drive performance and accountability
  • Hire, train, and onboard new team members for success in the field
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, audits, and quarterly one-on-one performance reviews
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team culture where employees feel supported and motivated
  • Ensure daily route completion and adherence to schedules
  • Monitor inventory practices including FIFO, short-dated product usage, and waste reduction
  • Oversee merchandising standards, pricing accuracy, and product placement
  • Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained
  • Partner with service teams to resolve equipment issues quickly
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client interactions
  • Conduct account visits to strengthen relationships and address feedback
  • Identify upselling opportunities and support business growth
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure account retention
  • Review daily route activity, cash handling, and reporting accuracy within the Seed system
  • Ensure service calls are created and resolved efficiently
  • Support warehouse operations and inventory counts as needed
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, and removals of equipment
  • Maintain fleet readiness and coordinate vehicle needs
