About The Position

The Route Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as drivers will interact with clients and represent the company on the road. The primary goal is to adhere to scheduled routes while maintaining compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Additionally, Route Drivers are responsible for the proper handling and care of the vehicle, ensuring it is well-maintained and ready for daily operations. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and reputation of the logistics and transportation services provided by the company.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
• strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of vehicle operation

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to transport parts to designated customer locations according to a pre-planned route.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured and handled with care; may require lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or use of equipment for heavier lifting, pulling, or pushing.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, sales team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety and compliance.
