About The Position

A Route Driver is responsible for operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities and grocery stores, and used cooking oil from restaurants to our location in Kansas City, KS. Guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per week; overtime after 8 hours worked per day. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Must be able to handle outside elements year round Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location. Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log. Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations. Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules. Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times. Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis. Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee. All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Class A driver's license.
  • With tanker endorsement.
  • Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

  • Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
  • Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
