About The Position

As a Route Driver for Darling Ingredients , you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our customers that include small family farms, larger hog confinements, locker plants, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors bring the raw materials back to our facility in Blue Earth, MN . Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, some Saturday. Flexible Start Time: 5:00am - 7:00am. Work Hours Per Day: 10 - 11 hours.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A or Class B driver's license.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Nice To Haves

• Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
• Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to handle outside elements year round
• Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
• Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log.
• Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
• Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
• Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned by management
