About The Position

The Medical Waste Route Driver at Stericycle is responsible for servicing assigned accounts by ensuring timely and safe waste pickup and supply delivery. This role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service while adhering to all relevant regulations. The driver will manage routes, transport waste, and maintain communication with supervisors to address any issues that arise during service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6+ months of experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate waste pickup.
• Transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Plan daily schedules based on customer needs and provided paperwork.
• Follow routing software for efficient route management.
• Prepare and load trucks with necessary supplies for the day.
• Unload trucks at various sites, ensuring proper waste securing.
• Ensure customers have packaged waste according to regulations before transport.
• Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Complete assigned paperwork accurately and return it for processing.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on assigned trucks.
• Log hours using ELD in accordance with DOT guidelines.
